Sharyn Miller and Sheridan Receive Heroes Award

2nd Grade Teacher, Sharyn Miller, and Sheridan recently received an award for years of devotion to the children of Hearts and Homes for Youth. Heroes Award recipients are honored for giving their time, energy, and material goods to help children of Hearts and Homes. For decades, the 2nd  grade class has participated in community service projects, such as collecting leftover Halloween candy and donate it to the children at Hearts and Homes who don't get to go trick-or-treating. Congratulations to Sharyn and to the 2nd graders, past and present!

Sharyn received the award at the 2011 Honors reception where Mark Shriver (above right), brother of Tim Shriver '73, was also honored for his work with the Save the Children Foundation.
